Dick has over 30 years of experience in product development, new business development and general business management within a multi-billion dollar global corporation and brings extensive, hands-on business development and operating experience to the ISIS team.Dick is a senior member of the ISIS team, and contributes over 25 years of experience in management of new product and new business development for leading U.S. and European organizations. Assignments have involved state-of-the-art creative and expert group processes for generating new product ideas; identifying new market opportunities for existing technologies; development of new asset-leveraging corporate business opportunities; management of solutions to high level technical problems; and development of innovative marketing and acquisition strategies and tactics.
With an emphasis on assignments in the US, Nordic and continental Europe and the UK, his roster of clients include: Bunzl Ltd, BP-Amoco, Metal Box, The International Herald Tribune in Paris, Boliden AB, Swedish Tobacco/Procordia Foods, Raision Group Oy, Atlas-Copco AB, Atle Karolin / Elpress-Nordwin AB, Elopak and Veritas A/S.
Dick has been an invited speaker and workshop leader on subjects of creativity, innovation, new product development and marketing strategy. He has spoken at the American Management Association in New York, the DGXXIII in Luxembourg, Management Center Europe in Brussels, the IIR, CMRA/CDA, as well as organizations in Stockholm, Helsinki, St Petersburg, Rio, Oslo, Copenhagen, and Dublin. In London Dick led conferences on the subjects of "The Fuzzy Front End" and "On Making New Product Decisions Faster."
He is the founder of SBDS International, and in collaboration with Strator AB in Sweden, has participated in a European Union multi-national program assisting small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) in the project management of new product development and innovation. The results of this DGXXIII effort, referred to as PROMISE, were presented in Madrid in April 2001, with national introductions in the UK, Ireland and Italy. Dick serves as Vice President of the International Society of Professional Innovation Management (ISPIM) with headquarters in Rome and he has been liaison on the Board of Directors for the Product Development Management Association (PDMA) in the U.S. He has also been affiliated with LES, CDA, AMA, The Chemists Club (NYC), TII (LUX) and The Commonwealth Society (London).
His educational background includes degrees from the University of Connecticut in Business and he earned a Masters Degree in Human Resources from the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut. He is married, has two adult children and is a citizen of the United States.
