ISIS's Multi-Market Entry Summit System targeted and launched Dow's new Versify™ Plastomers and Elastomers into non-film markets.

The new material technology generates unique performance combinations.

A Multi-Market Entry Summit System targeted and launched Dow's new Versify™ Plastomers and Elastomers into rigid packaging, consumer durables, and sectors using thermoplastic elastomers and thermoplastic olefins-based products. ISIS work started in July 02 and concluded Feb 03. "The Summit Panelists were unanimous in their support of this new material technology" noted Dick Siegel, ISIS's President and CEO.

 

As noted by ISIS client Kurt Swogger, VP R&D, Dow Plastics in a recent Dow press release... "VERSIFY Plastomers and Elastomers have a unique molecular architecture. It is this structure that differentiates our new range of polymers from typical Ziegler-Natta catalyst-based and metallocene catalyst-based copolymers of propylene."

Dow currently has developmental projects underway with several customers in a range of market segments.  These include a number of the Summit Panelist companies. As to commercial availability, Dow has plans to convert existing facilities in order to produce VERSIFY Plastomers and Elastomers on a commercial scale.
